Refresher Course for Spiritual Directors

Need a Refresher on Spiritual Direction Basics? We’ve Got You Covered!

If you are a Spiritual Director who feels like you need to brush up on the basics or if you haven't practiced in a while and feel like you need a refresher, you are not alone. Many Spiritual Directors feel the same way, and that is why we are here to help.

At LCSD we offer a programme that is designed to help you grow in confidence as you grow your practice. Our experienced trainers will work with you to review the basics of Spiritual Direction, including active listening, best practice, and creative response.

Don't let a lack of confidence hold you back from doing the work you are called to do.

It will be highly experiential: a large part of each session will be devoted to practice sessions with observation and feedback from tutors and peers.

There will also be input and discussion on topics such as:

  • Revisiting the basic tools and skills of Spiritual Direction

  • Current recommendations for good practice

  • Developing as a reflexive practitioner

  • Reviving our creativity as Spiritual Directors

  • How to get started again after a break in practice

  • And space for your own questions and concerns.
