Members’ Event - Wisdom Calls: A Lent Retreat

Wisdom’s call resounds within us, connecting us to a way of knowing that guides us through the diversities and transitions of our lives. This innate presence, central to our existence, is recognised in all ancient cultures and faiths, yet often overlooked in our busy world.

This online retreat will explore our deep inner connection to Holy Wisdom and listen for her voice. Through poems, prayers and creative ideas, we will discover ways of opening and listening to Wisdom. As we explore within this creative space, we will learn Wisdom’s input for our own lives and those of our communities.

The retreat is based on Helen Warwick’s book - ‘Wisdom Calls: Transformative Ways for Insightful Living’ which is about this ancient, hidden way of Wisdom, and is explored through psychological, theological and ecological groundings, bringing forth this intuitive, healing presence and her transformational movement connecting to community and all creation.

‘This beautiful Wisdom text is a powerful testament to Helen Warwick’s lifelong quest for her own inner wisdom. Her gentle, searching and perceptive insights on the ways of Wisdom - through attentive listening to the body, nature and the earth, creativity and the arts, community and relationships, dreams, contemplation, stillness and prayer - offer a trustworthy guide to all who seek a deeper wisdom to live by. This is a book to treasure and return to frequently.’ Professor Nicola Slee
