Exploring trauma in ourselves and others – with wisdom, care, and spiritual grounding.
As Spiritual Directors, we are not therapists - but we are often present when trauma surfaces.
Join us for a special day exploring trauma and Spiritual Direction.
Through three sessions, guided practice, and community reflection, we’ll ask:
What happens in the body when trauma is triggered?
What is our role when trauma shows up in direction?
How do we attend to our own nervous system and limits?
What practical tools help us offer safe, spiritual presence?
Date: Saturday 15 November
Time: 10:30-16:30
Venue: This is a hybrid event - online via Zoom and in person at St John’s Hoxton N1 6NP
Cost: £25 (20% Discount for members)
Our Speakers
Jana Holland
Jana Holland is the founder of Celu Selah, a wellness practice devoted to emotional and spiritual well-being by cultivating a more embodied and loving world. As a seasoned Spiritual Director and Somatic Trauma Therapist, she integrates two decades of experience at the intersection of neuroscience, spirituality, and somatics.
Jana holds a BA in Communications and Psychology (UW-Milwaukee), an MA in Global Leadership and Spiritual Direction (Fuller Seminary), and a Certificate in Somatic Trauma Therapy (The Embody Lab). Her work is deeply rooted in the Way of Yeshua—emphasizing love, shalom, compassion, wonder, and sacredness in the everyday.
She offers soul care through somatic coaching, nervous system regulation, spiritual direction, and emotional healing. Jana creates spaces of soul hospitality for people from all backgrounds, supporting those in seasons of awakening, transition, disillusionment, or grief. With compassionate presence and practical tools, she helps others explore the inner sacred, connect with their purpose, and experience deep transformation.
Hope Stockman
Hope Stockman is a wife, mom, Spiritual Director, whole-body wellness guide, and lifelong pilgrim with Jesus. She is passionate about sharing God’s love, healing, and joy, creating safe spaces for individuals and small groups to nurture the whole self—mind, body, and soul.
Her journey began in social work and law, serving as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Maryland’s criminal justice system. Over time, her calling shifted toward holistic wellness and soul care. She trained as a Christ-centered wellness instructor and has served with international ministries focused on whole-person healing.
Hope completed her certification in Spiritual Direction with Sustainable Faith in Amsterdam and now offers both Spiritual Direction and Supervision. She also guides others through the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius.
Through online and in-person retreats, Hope invites others into rhythms of prayer, formation, and embodied wellness—tending to life with God, self, and others. Her work is rooted in compassion, presence, and a belief in sacred space for transformation.
Kate Pozzo
Kate trained in Spiritual Direction through the Encounter course and is passionate about accompanying others on their spiritual journey of self-discovery, growth, and formation. She creates reflective and creative spaces that encourage listening, connection, and noticing the sacred in everyday life.
Alongside her work as a Spiritual Director, Kate is an integrative counsellor and offers pastoral supervision. Her background includes a career in graphic design within the public and third sectors, as well as active involvement in pastoral ministry—church planting in Surrey and serving in a multicultural church in Southwest London.
Now based in Northumberland with her husband Johnny, Kate finds joy and spiritual renewal walking and praying along the coastal pilgrim pathways. The ebb and flow of the tides inspire her rhythm of prayer, work, and Sabbath rest.
