Unlock the power of dreams in spiritual direction with this immersive workshop. Together, we'll explore how, as John Sandford says, “dreams serve as a forgotten language through which God communicates with us”. As directors, we have the privilege of guiding directees to listen to their dreams and discern God's voice within them. We'll show that one does not need a great deal of expertise or knowledge about dreams in order to work with them, and to help directors feel more comfortable and open in engaging with this work.
The day will consist of experiential teaching on dreams and how to listen to them, a chance practice both by working with one’s own dream of choice personally and, as a director, with a dream brought by another

Judy trained as a spiritual director from 1991-94 on the Ignatian Spirituality Course in London (ISC). Experiencing the Exercises of St Ignatius was transformational for me and a great help for discerning God’s will in my own life. Judy then trained as a Psychosynthesis therapist to MA standard before going back to my first love of spiritual direction and becoming a tutor on the ISC from 1999. Recently, Judy has been developing the 1-year Ignatian Enrichment course to enable trained spiritual directors to direct the full Exercises of St Ignatius. This includes an emphasis on the practical use of spiritual direction skills in helping directees listen more to a loving God. Judy has experienced working with dreams both in spiritual direction and in my own therapeutic work which has proved to be very fruitful.
