Breaking Bread for the Journey

Explore creative and biblically grounded ways of enriching the ministry of spiritual accompaniment

with Liz Hoare

Scripture is central to Christian spiritual direction and yet it’s easy to neglect it or to use it in a rather perfunctory way. How does Scripture feed us as directors and provide material for prayer and reflection both during and following spiritual direction? What are some of the biblical models of spiritual direction available to us that speak into the contemporary culture? This day will enable us to explore creative and biblically grounded ways of enriching the ministry of spiritual accompaniment, helping us to break this sacred bread and recognise the Spirit of God at work.
