Steeped in tradition and history, the Centre is set in the historic Church of St. Edmund the King and has long been a venue catering for individual and group bookings.
With rooms ranging from cosy one-to-one spaces to the beauty of the church itself, there is a space to suit every need including one-to-one work with clients, training events or music rehearsal spaces. There is also a delightful, small churchyard garden which is ideal for summer events. The Church can also be used as a film location as well as catering/changing area for film shoots happening in the City of London.
St Edmund the King Church seats approximately 100 people for a conference or lecture. It is also an ideal venue for evening drinks receptions or a chamber concert. It is ideal for orchestra and choir rehearsals (scroll down for more about hiring the centre as a music rehearsal space).
The Vestry Hall is a light and airy hall overlooking the garden and George yard. It seats a maximum of 30 people for workshops, training courses or board meetings.

Lombard Room is a very cosy meeting room at the front of the church and suitable for one-to-one meetings.
We have experience of helping film companies here at the London Centre for Spiritual Direction. With a total capacity 190 standing and 150 seated (in both the main church and Vestry Hall) we have plenty of room for catering, makeup and costumes. There are 3 WC’s and 1 disabled toilet. We can also provide a magical backdrop for film shoots in the main church and an airy, light space for filming shoots and interviews in the Vestry Hall.
I used the Centre for a day long shoot and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. It’s a fantastic setting.
The Centre has been used as a rehearsal and performance space for choirs, orchestras and other ensembles. The space offers an incredible acoustic for vocal and instrumental music. The main church has capacity for 150 standing (100 Seated) and the Vestry Hall has capacity for 40 standing (30 seated). Unfortunately, we do not have a piano.
We’ve really enjoyed rehearsing in the beautiful surroundings of the London Centre for Spiritual Direction. Catherine and the team made us feel very welcome and the facilities are excellent.
